Construction Update - September 2018

On Friday, September 28, Virginia Tech leadership gathered in Roanoke with leaders from Carilion Clinic and the City of Roanoke to mark a construction milestone in the expansion of the Virginia Tech Biomedical Research Addition.

A special beam had been signed over the past two weeks by more than 100 eager Virginia Tech and Carilion Clinic faculty, staff, health-care providers, and students. It was the chosen beam, destined to play a role in a time-honored construction rite — a topping out ceremony.
